It was a coincidental meeting halfway around the world that inspired the idea for Daniel Wellington.

Our founder Filip Tysander met a charming English gentleman with impeccable style but understated. This man especially likes to wear his vintage watches on weathered old NATO straps. Inspired by him, Filip decided to create his own watch collection. Simple yet sophisticated, the classic design with interchangeable straps has become a staple with truly broad appeal. Years later, this design is still part of what makes Daniel Wellington special.
